Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (3) - THE HKSAR CHIEF EXECUTIVE'S CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 1 - 1200Meters
MAGIC LEGEND was tightened for room on jumping between STRATHMORE and SEASONS BLOOM, both of which shifted ground.
A short distance after this, STRATHMORE was bumped by FABULOUS ONE which got its head on the side and shifted out.
SOUTHERN LEGEND was shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover.
Passing the 600 Metres, STRATHMORE momentarily raced tight inside MAGIC LEGEND.
Passing the 50 Metres, K Teetan (SOUTHERN LEGEND) dropped his whip.
A veterinary inspection of STRATHMORE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MAGIC LEGEND, SEASONS BLOOM and BLIZZARD were sent for sampling.

Seasons Bloom came on strongly after a patient ride second from the rear to win going away 50m out to ring up three straight wins for rider Joao Moreira. He's a winner waiting to happen at group level and is better at 1,400m and 1,600m. Top-rated Blizzard wore down Fabulous One in the final stages after chasing the speed in third. He wasn't good enough to give the winner 16 pounds but it was a good run in defeat. Fabulous One grudgingly gave way after leading as expected. He makes his own luck out front and should come on for this run. Late-fancied favourite Magic Legend was grinding away late without menacing following a midfield run. He's a smart sprinter and appeared to need the run. Southern Legend didn't finish off the race as expected after travelling second from the rear. He was badly handicapped and is still a nice prospect heading forward.
