Recap by phillip woo

Firming favourite Blitzing jumped alertly from gate one and never looked back to win with something in hand. He's got ability to step up in Class Three. Roman Odyssey found one too smart stalking the leader. He's a winner waiting to happen if he can stay in the grade. Super Eighteen just out-bobbed Bingo for third following a prominent run on the fence. He had every chance and might be on or near his mark. Bingo kept whacking away after settling one-out, one-back in the run. He was caught deep early on which anchored him late. Specked late, Perfect To Play made some ground following a midfield run. It was clearly his best run to date following a downgrade but he'll have to show more. Applause ran on without menacing after settling second last in a leader's race from a wide gate. He had excuses. Picken was another to get going late following a patient ride fourth from the rear. He needed the outing and a longer trip.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (124) - WINDICATOR HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

BINGO's entrance to the track was delayed due to that horse's hind plates having to be refitted.

BINGO was subsequently examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.

JOY MASTER, which was fractious in the barriers, was bumped on jumping by SUPER EIGHTEEN which initially shifted in and then raced tight inside PERFECT TO PLAY.

This resulted in JOY MASTER losing ground.

PICKEN began awkwardly and lost ground.

HK TOURBILLON was steadied on jumping to obtain cover.

From the outside barriers, APPLAUSE and VIRTUS STAR were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.

Passing the 700 Metres, JOY MASTER raced tight inside PERFECT TO PLAY which was awkwardly placed behind BINGO.

Then making the turn after the 600 Metres, JOY MASTER was crowded for room inside PERFECT TO PLAY which got its head on the side and lay in.

After this, PERFECT TO PLAY continued to lay in away from FATE FIRE.

In the early part of the Straight, PICKEN was reluctant to shift to the outside of FATE FIRE into clear running.

For the majority of the race, FATE FIRE travelled wide and without cover.

BLITZING and ROMAN ODYSSEY were sent for sampling.
