Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (200) - CHEVALIER CAR DEALERSHIP HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1400Meters
SPORTS MASTER was withdrawn on 24.11.18 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (right fore medial suspensory branch injury) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter ROYAL PREROGATIVE (Z Purton).
Before being allowed to race again, SPORTS MASTER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
DASHING DART began only fairly.
THE SYLPH was crowded for room on jumping between LUCKY COIN and SCARBOROUGH FAIR which shifted out.
In this incident, LUCKY COIN became unbalanced after being bumped by THE SYLPH.
SINCERE HORSE shifted out at the start and bumped M REBORN.
VICTORY MARCH was crowded for room on jumping between MONEY WINNER and GOLDEN CANNON which began awkwardly and shifted out.
After this, VICTORY MARCH was shifted across behind runners.
THE SYLPH was also steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Rounding the Home Turn, MONEY WINNER was awkwardly placed behind VICTORY MARCH when being shifted to the outside of that horse to obtain clear running.
Passing the 250 Metres, LUCKY COIN, which was inclined to lay out, was steadied away from the heels of VICTORY MARCH which shifted in under pressure.
Approaching the 200 Metres, DASHING DART and SCARBOROUGH FAIR raced tight inside ROCHFORD.
Throughout the race, OTOUTO travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.
A veterinary inspection of LUCKY COIN and OTOUTO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SUPREME WITNESS and NATURAL FLARE were sent for sampling.

Firming favourite Supreme Witness kept on gamely after getting his own way in front for a second win with a return to Class Five from five starts this term. He'll have to raise his game in Class Four. Natural Flare ran on steadily following a midfield run on the fence to cap a popular Quinella result. He's itching to salute on his three outings in Class Five this term. Royal Prerogative kept on well for a placing after a box-seat run. It was an improved effort first-up this term following a downgrade. Dashing Dart came on nicely near the inside after settling near last following a slow start. He's a Class Four horse who was having his first run of the campaign and is better suited at a mile. Money Winner came on nicely widest out after showing no early pace at the rear of the field. M Reborn came up flat final 100m with a move from behind midfield. He appeared to have stamina issues with the step up in distance here.
