Recap by phillip woo

Polymer Luck just held on after hitting the front 250m out racing prominent for a second career win. He's honest and was given a terrific ride by Matthew Chadwick. Post-time favourite Happy Warrior was caught behind the tiring leader Super Euro Star travelling midfield until peeling out at the top of the straight and finished well thereafter to cut the margin to a neck on the wire He should have won. Chaparral Star ran on steadily travelling one-off in midfield to finish a close third. He's racing in great spirit and should remain competitive off his current mark. Perfect To Play came on well travelling third from the rear to fill a Quartet spot. He's shown some life signs in two of his past three following a downgrade. Curling Luxury had his chance tracking the speed one off the fence. He's more effective when allowed to bowl along in front. Sparkling Sword folded 100m out after claiming the front 700m out following a pace-stalking run.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (284) - URANUS HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters

GENTRY and TENNESSEE BOSS were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

At the 600 Metres, WINNERS PIONEER was checked when tightened for room inside PERFECT TO PLAY which got its head on the side and hung in despite the efforts of its rider.

PERFECT TO PLAY continued to lay in making the turn after the 600 Metres.

Passing the 600 Metres, SUPER EURO STAR lay in and brushed the running rail.

From approaching the 500 Metres until near the Home Turn, HAPPY WARRIOR was held up and unable to improve when awkwardly placed behind SUPER EURO STAR which came under pressure and commenced to lose ground.

At the entrance to the Straight, TENNESSEE BOSS and PERFECT TO PLAY raced tight as PERFECT TO PLAY improved to the outside of CHAPARRAL STAR to obtain clear running.

A veterinary inspection of GENTRY and SUPER EURO STAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

POLYMER LUCK and HAPPY WARRIOR were sent for sampling.

<27/12/2018 Additional Veterinary Report>SUPER EURO STAR, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings.

SUPER EURO STAR was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C W Chang this morning.

He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg.

Before being allowed to race again, SUPER EURO STAR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
