Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (455) - SHING YIP HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
PRECIOUS SWEETIE was withdrawn on 25.2.19 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (substantial amount of blood in trachea on scoping after track work) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter THE SHOW.
Before being allowed to race again, PRECIOUS SWEETIE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
SUPER MODEL began very awkwardly and lost ground.
EVERBRAVE was crowded for room on jumping between WAH MAY PRINCESS and NICE KICK, both of which shifted ground.
SUPER LEADER and SPRING WIN were steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
From the outside barrier, BLINK OF A SECOND was steadied and shifted across behind runners in the early stages, however, after the 900 Metres was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 250 Metres, THE SHOW was directed to the outside of EXCEPTIONAL DESIRE to obtain clear running.
After attempting to improve inside WAH MAY PRINCESS where there was insufficient room, EVERBRAVE was shifted to the outside of that horse passing the 250 Metres to obtain clear running.
Near the 50 Metres, T H So (LETSGOFREE) dropped his right rein.
At the 50 Metres, SUPER MODEL was shifted in away from the heels of EXCEPTIONAL DESIRE.
WAH MAY PRINCESS and THE SHOW were sent for sampling.

Favourite Wah May Princess just held off the late-plunged The Show for the win after rolling forward to lead at the 950m for a second straight win. The Show made it close on the wire after switching off heels for a clear run approaching the 200m following a rail run better than midfield to continue his solid form this season despite a return to Class Four. Everbrave came away third best after handing up the lead to track the leader. He appears to have the ability to eventually win a race in this grade. Nice Kick ran on a nonthreatening fourth after pulling out for a clear run at the 250m travelling midfield on the fence. Newcomer Band Of Brothers stayed on without menacing sitting one-off outside Nice Kick in the run. It wasn't a bad run but he clearly needed the run. Super Leader made some ground down the outside without ever looking a chance following a one-off trip behind midfield. He's finding it tough carrying big weights.
