Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (761) - VIOLET HILL HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
EURO LAGO, which was fractious in the barriers, began very awkwardly and lost ground.
BULLISH BROTHER lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected, shifted in and hampered WONDERFUL TIMES.
AUTHENTIC CHAMP began only fairly.
THIS IS CHARISMA and HERO TIME were crowded for room on jumping between WINNING FEELING and FEARLESS FIRE, both of which shifted ground.
After this, THIS IS CHARISMA was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
From the outside barriers, STARLIGHT and MELBOURNE HALL were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the turn near the 1050 Metres, THIS IS CHARISMA was awkwardly placed outside the heels of MANY GAINS which shifted out.
AUTHENTIC CHAMP made the turn after the 600 Metres very awkwardly and shifted out, resulting in STARLIGHT being bumped and taken wider.
AUTHENTIC CHAMP then raced tight between STARLIGHT and MELBOURNE HALL passing the 500 Metres when MELBOURNE HALL improved to be racing close to the heels of EURO LAGO.
Passing the 400 Metres, EURO LAGO was steadied away from the heels of WONDERFUL TIMES.
In the Straight, THIS IS CHARISMA lay out under pressure.
Throughout the race, FEARLESS FIRE travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of WONDERFUL TIMES and STARLIGHT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of EURO LAGO immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.
BULLISH BROTHER and SPRINT FORWARD were sent for sampling.

Well-backed Bullish Brother wore down leader Sprint Forward near the 50m after settling second in the run after a brilliant start to ring up a second win from his past three starts. He's racing very well. Firming favourite Sprint Forward found one better after turning for home nearly two lengths on top after finding the front approaching the 1,000m. Fearless Fire closed off reasonably well after a wide and without cover run behind midfield from a wide gate for the most part. He's well rated off his current mark. Hero Time came up flat inside the last 100m after looming at least a place chance midstretch following a one-off run better than midfield. The big weight took its toll. This Is Charisma got going two from the right after a patient ride fifth from the back. It was another honest effort but he might be worth a try at 1,400m or a mile. Melbourne Hall ran on without menacing after making his run at the rear of the field from the widest draw.
