Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (538) - LAI CHI CHONG HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
On arrival at the Start, it was noted that FLYING HIGH had blood in its mouth.
FLYING HIGH was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
FLYING HIGH began only fairly.
FALCON TURBO was crowded for room on jumping between MCLUCKY which became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by FALCON TURBO and SUNSHINE SUPREME which shifted in.
METRO WARRIOR stumbled a short distance after the start.
In the latter stages of the race, BRILLIANT FORTUNE got its head on the side and lay out under pressure.
WINNING BREW lay in under pressure after the 400 Metres.
A veterinary inspection of SUNSHINE SUPREME immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, SUNSHINE SUPREME will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
WINNER METHOD and BRILLIANT FORTUNE were sent for sampling.

Firming at short odds, Winner Method took a while to wind up after coming under pressure 400m out following a prominent run but picked up nicely to reel in Brilliant Fortune 60m out to remain unbeaten in three starts. He's got more points in hand. Brilliant Fortune found one too smart to finish a clear-cut second after surging to the lead 400m out after prompting the leader Flying High near the stand side. He's made a good impression for seconds in his two outings and will be saluting shortly. Metro Warrior kept on a non-threatening third following a prominent run from a low draw. He has proven course and distance form and didn't need to beat much to place. Triple Triple ran on well from near last at one point to fill the frame. He requires a longer trip. Happy Good Guys came from near last to earn a minor cheque. He's clearly more effective at the Valley. Newcomer Flying High showed gate speed but no stamina. He needed the run.
