Racing Incident Report
Race Six: (812) - BROOM HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
VALIANT ELEGANCE began awkwardly and bumped the outside of its stall on jumping.
VALIANT ELEGANCE then became unbalanced after bumping STORMTROUPER.
PEAK TO PEAK shifted in at the start and bumped POISED TO STRIKE.
After this, from the outside barriers, POISED TO STRIKE and PEAK TO PEAK were steadied and shifted across behind runners.
From a wide barrier, TEAM GOODLUCK was also steadied to obtain a position closer to the rail.
Shortly after the start, TELECOM ROCKET raced tight outside MANAGEMENT SUPREME which shifted out.
Approaching the 1100 Metres, VALIANT ELEGANCE momentarily raced tight inside the heels of LITTLE BIRD which shifted in.
When LITTLE BIRD was directed out to relieve the tightening to VALIANT ELEGANCE, MOMENTUM GALAXY, which was travelling keenly when being steadied to obtain cover, was inconvenienced.
Passing the 1000 Metres, VALIANT ELEGANCE commenced to travel keenly and shifted out away from the heels of WIN WIN STAR.
VALIANT ELEGANCE was then left racing wide and without cover and was allowed to improve its position after the 900 Metres to race outside the lead near the 600 Metres at which stage LITTLE BIRD was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 800 Metres, STORMTROUPER commenced to travel keenly and got its head up when awkwardly placed behind WIN WIN STAR.
Passing the 800 Metres, TELECOM ROCKET raced close to the heels of WOOD ON FIRE.
Passing the 500 Metres, VALIANT ELEGANCE got its head on the side and lay out.
For some distance after the 200 Metres, PEAK TO PEAK raced tight inside MOMENTUM GALAXY.
Over the concluding stages, WOOD ON FIRE was held up for clear running when awkwardly placed close to the heels of BEAUTY CHEERS and consequently was not able to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race.
A veterinary inspection of POISED TO STRIKE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of VALIANT ELEGANCE immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer??which had previously been reported.
A veterinary inspection of LITTLE BIRD immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, LITTLE BIRD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
MANAGEMENT SUPREME, WIN WIN STAR and TELECOM ROCKET were sent for sampling.

Plunged late, Win Win Star quickened well to claim victory 50m out after making his run one-off better than midfield. He went all right in one of three other starts and took advantage of a better draw on this occasion. Telecom Rocket finished strongly after a rails run in midfield to snatch second close to home. He has performed consistently well week in, week out. Stormtrouper ran on well after a one-off run in midfield to just miss a quinella spot. He's naturally coming to hand in his five starts and can break through at any moment. Favourite Management Supreme lost a placing late after a pace-stalking run. He couldn't quite cope carrying five pounds more following a near win last start. Beauty Cheers grudgingly gave way after dictating the run from gate one. The tactics change to lead instead of taking the sit didn't pan out after a close second last start. Momentum Galaxy ran on without menacing after a patient ride third last from a wide draw. He didn't get race conditions to suit. Team Goodluck was short of room along the inside over the final 150m after making his move from towards the rear. Wood On Fire disappointed after a dream run. It was a disappointing performance.
