Spicy Grill showed a good turn of foot to overhaul long-time leader Happily Friends in the concluding stages for the win after trailing the field until the 600m. He's now upped his record to three wins from five starts following a switch to the Valley 1,200m. Happily Friends found one too good after turning the final bend two lengths on top. He's itching to salute in his four starts this term. Falcon Turbo rallied well to grab a placing 50m out after parking three wide with cover in midfield. It was a better run on his past couple but he is well rated and enjoyed a change in courses. Shadow Runner ran on well from towards the rear to fill a top-four spot. He was able to live up to a vastly improved effort last start over the Valley 1,650m despite a step back in distance. Newcomer Captain Long wasn't too far away in the end after getting posted wide without cover in a prominent spot. It was an encouraging run. Good Shot ran on without menacing down the outside. He's destined for a downgrade. Great Harvest didn't have much left in the tank 100m out after a pace-stalking run. He's likely on or near his mark. Firming favourite Baebae Tsoi never landed a blow from behind midfield in his initial Valley run. He's still learning.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (258) - JUPITER HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

STRIVE FOR GLORY was slow to begin and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

SHADOW RUNNER got its head up on jumping and then when being steadied to obtain cover shortly after the start was bumped on two occasions by BAEBAE TSOI which was taken out by GREAT HARVEST.

From the outside barrier, INESTIMABLE was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After being vigorously ridden in the early stages to obtain a forward position, CAPTAIN LONG travelled wide and without cover throughout.

Making the turn near the 950 Metres, BAEBAE TSOI was awkwardly placed close to the heels of NOIR RIDER.

After the 900 Metres, NOIR RIDER travelled keenly.

At the entrance to the Straight, BAEBAE TSOI was shifted out away from the heels of NOIR RIDER and then when attempting to be shifted to the outside of CAPTAIN LONG was checked away from the heels of that horse passing the 300 Metres when disappointed for running to the outside of CAPTAIN LONG and inside FALCON TURBO.

BAEBAE TSOI was then directed to the inside of CAPTAIN LONG which shifted out under pressure and near the 175 Metres was directed to the inside of NOIR RIDER when disappointed for running between that horse which shifted out after being bumped by SPICY GRILL and CAPTAIN LONG.

BAEBAE TSOI was then shifted in away from the heels of NOIR RIDER passing the 100 Metres and close to the finishing line was held up for running behind GREAT HARVEST when racing tight inside NOIR RIDER.

Because of these incidents, BAEBAE TSOI was not able to be fully tested in the Straight.

At the 300 Metres, SHADOW RUNNER was disappointed for running between FALCON TURBO and BAEBAE TSOI.

Passing the 150 Metres, STRIVE FOR GLORY raced in restricted room inside GREEN ENVY which shifted in before being shifted out to relieve the tightening to STRIVE FOR GLORY.

Close to the finishing line, GOOD SHOT raced tight outside SHADOW RUNNER.

Because of this, GOOD SHOT was not able to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race.

A veterinary inspection of NOIR RIDER immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer??which had previously been reported.

A veterinary inspection of BAEBAE TSOI immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

BAEBAE TSOI, SPICY GRILL and HAPPILY FRIENDS were sent for sampling.
