Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (513) - FAY FAY HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
SPEED FAY FAY stumbled badly on jumping, shifted out and bumped RED BRICK FIGHTER.
From wide barriers, COUNTRY BOY and CHEERY were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
CIRCUIT ELITE was crowded for room on jumping between DURHAM STAR and MAXIMIZE HEART which shifted out.
MAXIMIZE HEART then shifted in and inconvenienced JIANGXI STAMINA which also shifted out on jumping.
Then despite being ridden along in the early stages, CIRCUIT ELITE failed to muster speed and passing the 1300 Metres was awkwardly placed outside the heels of MAXIMIZE HEART due to both horses shifting ground.
A veterinary inspection of MAXIMIZE HEART immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a laceration to the left hind leg.
Rounding the Home Turn, LIFELINE VISION was awkwardly placed inside the heels of DURHAM STAR.
Throughout the race, BEST FOR YOU and STAR OF YUEN LONG travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of LIFELINE VISION and STAR OF YUEN LONG immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
DURHAM STAR, COUNTRY BOY and AMAZING VICTORY were sent for sampling.

Country Boy came with a well-timed run to deny Amazing Victory ridden for luck from a wide draw for a third win from 10 starts this term. He could remain competitive up in grade off a light weight. Amazing Victory found one too good after hitting the front 200m out chasing the leader Red Brick Fighter 200m out from a wide draw. Cheery made good ground late to fill a placing after a patient ride fourth last and three deep with cover from a wide draw. He relished a rise in trip. Well-backed Red Brick Fighter grudgingly gave way after driving to the lead along the inside 1,000m out. He's itching for a return to Class Five. Jiangxi Stamina came from last at the head of the straight and widest out to pick up a cheque. Like the latter, he's looking forward to a return to Class Five. Favourite Durham Star came up flat over the last 100m after looming a chance mid-straight after a wide with cover run in midfield. He ran below par after threatening to score in three prior starts. Lifeline Vision was held up early straight but couldn't turn it up another gear with clear running 200m out following a one-off run in midfield.
