Racing Incident Report
Race Eleven : (707) - ORIENTAL EXPRESS HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters
Horse No 1 ANODE (K367) J McDonald After the event J McDonald stated that with blinkers being applied for the first time today and his mount up in distance he was asked to take up a forward position.
He added when ANODE was unable to cross runners to its inside it raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event before being left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of ANODE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, ANODE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 2 GHORGAN (K199) K C Leung Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the right side of its barrier, resulting in its rider K C Leung also making contact with the barrier structure and becoming unbalanced.
Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was badly held up for clear running.
Horse No 3 GENEVA (J114) H Bowman Near the 400 Metres was held up for clear running behind SOUTH STAR.
Horse No 4 POPE CODY (K313) J Orman Crowded at the start.
Horse No 6 EIGHTY LIGHT YEARS (H170) B Thompson Approaching the 200 Metres was eased and shifted to the outside of MASTER CHAMPION to obtain clear running.
Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when held up between KA YING SUPERB and AKASHVANI.
After the event B Thompson stated that his mount was slow to begin and as a result settled further back than what had been anticipated.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 IGOR STRAVINSKY (K086) A Badel Slow to begin.
Horse No 11 SUPER EXPRESS (K245) C Williams Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 KA YING SUPERB (J091) M F Poon Near the 900 Metres raced tight to the inside of SOUTH STAR which in turn was positioned tight to the inside of SUPER EXPRESS which lay in away from KING OF DUBAI.
Horse No 13 KING OF DUBAI (J433) H Bentley Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
After the event H Bentley stated that from a wide barrier he was asked to take up a forward position.
He said he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to comply with his instructions and as a result KING OF DUBAI gave ground in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of KING OF DUBAI, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, KING OF DUBAI will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No SILVERY BREEZE (K057) K Teetan Withdrawn on 24.5.25 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (blood abnormality) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter MASTER CHAMPION.
Before being allowed to race again, SILVERY BREEZE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Top Dragon just got the better of favourite Super Express over the last 100m after a patient ride fourth last for back to back wins. It's onwards and upwards for the threeyear- old. Another three-year-old, Super Express, wouldn't go down without a fight after moving to the lead near the 200m following a prominent run. It was another solid run up in grade following a win and a second to start his career. South Star ran on steadily for third without threatening the top two after a one-off trip from midfield. It was another genuine effort carrying five pounds more following a second straight win last time out. Pope Cody ran on well down the outside to nearly place after making his run second last from gate 10. He's run on nicely for fourths in his past two of three local starts. Geneva ran on steadily for fifth after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He's more effective over 1,200m.
