Top French racehorse Cirrus des Aigles has been withdrawn from the Audemars Piguet QE II Cup at Sha Tin on April 27.

Formerly the top-rated horse in the world, the eight-year-old was amongst five foreign invitees to the Group One international on Sunday week but it was not injury which forced a change of plans.

Trainer Corinne Barande-Barbe has now retargeted Cirrus des Aigles for a clash with Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe champion Treve in the Prix Ganay in France on the same day.
