Peter Ho Leung has hardly had a season to remember but he does look to have at least one more victory in the locker if he can get another race into Unbeatable Guts before the break.

The three-year-old International Sale horse ran handy races at his first two appearances at Happy Valley but he looked better suited getting to the big track at Sha Tin on Wednesday night and it should have seen him land a maiden win.

Unbeatable Guts should be even better when he gets stretched out to something a little longer than the 1,200m on Wednesday

Jockey Hugh Bowman had nowhere to go in the straight after parking Unbeatable Guts behind the leader and eventual winner Cheers Victories, as Wild Boy kept kicking outside the leader.

The good news is that Unbeatable Guts should be even better when he gets stretched out to something a little longer than the 1,200m on Wednesday.

Sean Woods still needs another four wins to meet the Jockey Club's minimum performance criteria and the races are running out, but there may still be a couple left for him on the all-weather.

Goldland Dancer again ran slick sectionals and coped well with his big weight, so he looks like he will handle the transition to Class Three comfortably after his second recent 1,650m win on the surface.

The son of Golan always promised to make it as far as Class Two after winning his first couple of outings last season, but looked out of sorts for quite a bit of this term and wasn't finding the line.

The switch to dirt seems to have coincided with him rediscovering his health and enthusiasm and the extra all-weather races should allow him the opportunity to snare one more before it's all over for the summer.

Later on in the night, Woods' former Irish horse Imperial Concorde gave his first hint of form at his initial run on the dirt.

Imperial Concorde didn't have a great deal to recommend him off his juvenile form in Ireland and was living up to that on firm turf here as he dropped down the ratings.

But he finds himself at the bottom of Class Three now and looking more competitive after his fourth in fast time behind Gun Pit in the seventh race.
