Boom local hope Mr Stunning has been ruled out of Sunday’s Group One Chairman’s Sprint Prize (1,200m) after being found to have a sore foot before trackwork on Friday morning.
Trainer Frankie Lor Fu-chuen had been hopeful his gun sprinter would be fit to race, but stewards ruled the dual Longines Hong Kong Sprint winner out on Saturday due to lameness in its right front leg.
Champion jockey Zac Purton was set to ride the six-year-old, while the scratching leaves Lor, who won two of the four Group Ones on international day, without a runner in the race.
Meanwhile, Australian speedster Viddora has been cleared to race after battling a leg issue all week.
