The hearing into Harry Bentley’s “potential disciplinary matter” will continue on Tuesday, with Jockey Club stewards adjourning proceedings after they were unable to reach a verdict despite a marathon sitting at Happy Valley on Monday.
While it remains unclear what Bentley has done to pique the interest of officials, the British jockey has been stood down since last Friday and is unable to ride in races, barrier trials and trackwork.
Bentley, who will miss at least Wednesday night’s Happy Valley fixture, has made a promising start to the season with seven wins through the first two months of the campaign.
