Frankie Lor Fu-chuen will launch a two-pronged attack in the feature Class Two Lucky Patch Handicap (1,200m) at the Happy Valley season finale on Wednesday with Lucky With You and Bottomuptogether.
Set to carry top weight of 135lb, Lucky With You heads to the city circuit for the second time in his career following an improved performance last start in the Group Three Premier Cup (1,400m) that saw him finish third behind Little Paradise.
Luke Ferraris, the most recent jockey to win aboard him when securing back-to-back wins last season, will reunite with the veteran eight-year-old when they jump from barrier six on Wednesday.

“He’s raced one time already at Happy Valley, which is good. The owner wanted to give him one more run this season so I think this is a good distance for him, I think 1,200m should be better than 1,400m,” Lor said.
“Victor The Winner, I think he will lead in front, and then Bottomuptogether also may go forward. I think if he jumps well, he can sit fourth or fifth.”
Bottomuptogether will seek his second win for the season when Joao Moreira takes the reins from barrier one. While the five-year-old Shamus Award gelding carries 133lb, he has proved his ability to carry big weights, placing third at his most recent Happy Valley start with 135lb.

“He races well at Happy Valley – he has a good draw, good jockey and the horse is still in good form. This morning I put Joao on Bottomuptogether, he said he still feels good, so I’m happy,” Lor said.
Lucky Together, who has shown some ability since beginning career in Hong Kong midseason, takes on the Class Four Sweet Orange Handicap (1,650m) with Alexis Badel in the saddle. The Ocean Park galloper has finally drawn a kinder gate of four after drawing wide for his last five starts.
“This time he gets a better draw of four so I think it’s easier for him to get midfield, no need to take him back. Sometimes at Happy Valley if you get too far back, you cannot come from behind and win the race, it’s not easy,” Lor said.

“The horse is still only four years old and he looks better than before. When we started to race him in Hong Kong, he was always a bit keen in the early stages, so now he’s improved and is more settled.”
Jolly Bonus will make his debut for Lor in the first section of the Class Four Fast Most Furious Handicap (1,200m) when he jumps from barrier one with Matthew Poon Ming-fai aboard.
“I’ve trialled him four times, because Wednesday is the last day of the season I will race him once just to see. He’s got a good draw, I haven’t sent him to Happy Valley for a trial, but he’s still learning,” Lor said.
“He has a little bit of gate speed, so from draw one he can just jump and box seat – or sit third, fourth, fifth with some horses around him, and hope he can run a little bit better than his trials.”
