Odd-on favourite Beat The Clock dashed to the front 280m out after travelling without cover in a prominent spot from a wide gate to notch a third win from seven outings. He should hold his own in the middle of Class Two when he next steps out. Turf Sprint was no match for the winner but out-stayed Time Warp after getting the early jump in midfield. He was suited by the drop into a mixed Class Three. Time Warp was pulling back the margin with every stride following a one off run behind Turf Sprint. He's a gross type who's getting better with each start and wants a further trip. Smart Declaration kept on well following a handy run along the fence to inject some value into the exotics. He's approaching a bottom but is more effective sprinting at the Valley. Green Card was getting going late after travelling third from the rear from a wide gate. He has the ability to run a big race but isn't reliable. Water Diviner did get held up for 50m passing the 200m when trying to wind up from just worse than midfield. He had excuses.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eight: (469)-COLOANE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Metres

DUKEDOM began awkwardly and lost ground.

WATER DIVINER began only fairly.

TIME WARP began awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, SILLY BUDDIES and HEALTHY JOYFUL bumped.

After initially being ridden along from a wide barrier, GREEN CARD was steadied shortly after the start and shifted across behind runners.

Passing the 1100 Metres, MR GENUINE shifted out and bumped PACKING STONES which was travelling keenly.

Approaching the first turn near the 900 Metres, PACKING STONES, which continued to travel keenly, got its head up when being checked away from the heels of MR GENUINE.

Near the 850 Metres, TIME WARP was awkwardly placed behind TURF SPRINT.

After the 700 Metres, MR GENUINE was left racing wide and without cover.

Shortly after entering the Straight, PACKING STONES got its head on the side and lay in behind MR GENUINE, resulting in PACKING STONES being awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse.

In the early part of the Straight, TIME WARP raced with its head on the side and lay in.

Near the 175 Metres, WATER DIVINER was shifted away from the heels of SMART DECLARATION which shifted out.

Near the 100 Metres, PACKING STONES got its head up when being checked out away from the heels of MR GENUINE which shifted out away from GREEN CARD as that horse improved to the inside of MR GENUINE.

A veterinary inspection of WATER DIVINER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

BEAT THE CLOCK and TURF SPRINT were sent for sampling.
