Recap by phillip woo

Firming favourite Clear Choice got up 100m out after easing out at the 550m following a one-off run fore of midfield to ring up a second straight win despite a late-riding change to Silvestre de Sousa. Sparkling Sword gave a cheeky sight in front to finish a clear-cut second. He's always a tough one to run down if given his own way in front. Play Wis followed Clear Choice when peeling out of a one-off position from behind midfield and closed well to take third. He's a winner waiting to happen in this class. Mister Monte stuck on well to give the Quartet some value following a prominent run on the fence. My Winner was yielding ground over the final 100m after tracking the leader one-off from a wide gate. It wasn't a bad effort first time over this course but Sha Tin seems to suit him better. Association Fans stayed on without menacing travelling better than midfield on the fence. He has been racing honest over this Valley trip this term.

Racing Incident Report

Race Five: (456) - SHUI WO HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters

DR RACE began very awkwardly, shifted in abruptly on jumping and bumped the hindquarters of MAJESTIC ENDEAVOUR which became unbalanced.

This resulted in DR RACE losing a significant amount of ground.

Before being allowed to race again, DR RACE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.

VICTORY POWER also began very awkwardly and lost ground and then was shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover.

Before being allowed to race again, VICTORY POWER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.

PLAY WISE was crowded for room on jumping between SMART ROCKET and MY WINNER which shifted out.

After this, PLAY WISE, from a wide barrier, was shifted across behind runners.

After passing the winning post on the first occasion, SMART ROCKET, which was racing wide, was steadied to obtain a trailing position behind MAJESTIC ENDEAVOUR.

VICTORY POWER over-raced for some distance approaching and passing the 1200 Metres.

Passing the 1200 Metres, CLEAR CHOICE commenced to travel keenly and was awkwardly placed behind SPINNING DANCER.

In the early part of the Straight, ASSOCIATION FANS lay in and was reluctant to shift to the outside of MISTER MONTE.

A veterinary inspection of VICTORY POWER immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.

A veterinary inspection of SMART ROCKET immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection of SPINNING DANCER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.

CLEAR CHOICE and SPARKLING SWORD were sent for sampling.
