Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (113)-HOI PA HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Metres
WORLD CITY bounded in the air as the start was effected and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners.NEWSWIRE FREE began awkwardly.
From the outside barrier, DUTCH WINDMILL was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
When being ridden along to obtain a forward position, EASTERN DRAGON shifted in approaching the 1100 Metres and bumped GOLDEN GUNNERS, causing both horses to become unbalanced.
EASTERN DRAGON was then shifted out to relieve the pressure to GOLDEN GUNNERS and was left racing wide and without cover after the 900 Metres.
After being ridden along in the early stages to obtain the lead, CALL ME ACHIEVER travelled keenly in the middle stages.
After the 800 Metres, NEWSWIRE FREE was taken out to a position without cover when JOLLY SPRING was taken wider by WORLD CITY.
Then after the 700 Metres, NEWSWIRE FREE was steadied to obtain a trailing position behind JOLLY SPRING.
Near the 700 Metres, SPITFIRE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of G-ONE LOVER.
In the middle stages, WORLD CITY proved difficult to settle and near the 600 Metres was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GOLDEN GUNNERS.
Rounding the Home Turn, NEWSWIRE FREE was hampered and shifted out away from the heels of VICTOR EMPEROR (J Moreira) which shifted out after being awkwardly placed close to the heels of JOLLY SPRING.
J Moreira was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
At the entrance to the Straight, G-ONE LOVER was held up for clear running when unable to improve between CALL ME ACHIEVER and LONDON MASTER which was being shifted in.
Passing the 200 Metres, HAY GO LUCKY was steadied when held up for clear running behind G-ONE LOVER and CALL ME ACHIEVER which was giving ground.
HAY GO LUCKY then had difficulty obtaining clear running for a short distance after this.
Over the final 100 Metres, G-ONE LOVER hung out under pressure.
VICTOR EMPEROR and LONDON MASTER were sent for sampling.

Favourite Victory Emperor was ridden along second from the rear early on, swung the final bend with one wide rout and let down willingly to take control 100m out for a maiden win at his eighth outing. He can win another and should get 1,400m as well. London Master kept on well after working to the lead 300m out following a one-off run in second behind Call Me Achiever. Golden Gunners travelled a distant fourth one off the fence, rounded the final bend five deep, loomed a winning chance at the 200m and peaked on his run 100m out. G-One Lover was prominently-ridden along the fence, pulled out three deep at the 300m and stayed on well in a pleasing debut. World City made his run third from the rear after a slow break, improved his position coming to the final bend and ran on steadily four deep. Hay Go Lucky was held up for a clear run from the 250m until pulling out 150m out after cornering third from the rear.
