Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Pingwu Spark worked to the lead 200m out after sitting on the back of the speed to ring up a third win from five starts. He's got the tools to head higher. Specked late, Doctor Geoff found the line well after switching into the open 300m out following a one-off run behind midfield to make it close on the wire in a superb debut performance. Time To Celebrate stuck on well following a box-seat run but found a couple too smart in the end following a rise in class. He's still open to improvement. Marvel Tribe grudgingly gave way after leading from a wide gate. It was still a solid run in defeat behind some nice types after winning two of his opening four starts this term. Kingsfield gradually faded after vying for the early lead from a wide gate. He'll be hard to beat if he can find his way back into Class Three. Singapore Sling came on reasonably well after travelling second from the rear from a wide gate in an encouraging debut.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eight: (224) - CHEVALIER PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT & OPERATIONS HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1400Meters

LITTLE GIANT was withdrawn on 25.11.17 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore).

Before being allowed to race again, LITTLE GIANT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RED ROSE WARRIOR began only fairly.

KINGSFIELD began very awkwardly and lost ground.

From wide barriers, SINGAPORE SLING and RIVET were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Approaching the 1200 Metres, HEALTHY JOYFUL got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of PINGWU SPARK (K C Leung) which shifted in when not properly clear.

K C Leung was reprimanded.

Making the first turn near the 900 Metres, HEALTHY JOYFUL shifted out away from the heels of PINGWU SPARK when awkwardly placed behind that horse.

Passing the 900 Metres, RED ROSE WARRIOR shifted out and bumped GREEN CARD.

GREEN CARD then got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of DOCTOR GEOFF.

After the 900 Metres, CIRCUIT GLORY got its head up when travelling keenly and awkwardly placed close to the heels of TIME TO CELEBRATE.

Passing the 800 Metres, RIVET and SINGAPORE SLING were both restrained when travelling keenly.

M L Yeung (MARVEL TRIBE) and Apprentice H T Mo (KINGSFIELD), who were riding the leaders in this race, were warned against the practice of reducing the tempo such that it makes it difficult for horses and riders behind to adjust to the change of tempo.

Passing the 600 Metres, CIRCUIT GLORY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of TIME TO CELEBRATE.

After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on GREEN CARD at the request of Trainer J Moore.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

Before being allowed to race again, GREEN CARD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

PINGWU SPARK and DOCTOR GEOFF were sent for sampling.
