Choice Treasure landed a perfect position one off in fourth with cover, straightened nearly five deep and stayed on nicely with a step up to the mile to collar favourite Trendy Win in the final few metres for the win. Trendy Win tracked the slow sections of Modern Tsar one off the fence, worked to the front 250m out and kept on gamely for second. Willie Invictus saved ground in midfield and made a steady bid three deep for a placing carrying top weight with a drop in class. He prefers a longer trip. Goldland Dancer had his chance following a box-seat run and just held Starting Over for a Quartet spot. Starting Over rounded the final bend with three wider after travelling one off in midfield and was making some progress late without ever looking a place chance. Foodie made some ground widest out after travelling beyond midfield in an improved effort with a step up in distance. The race tempo did not suit Agiaal who ended up only passing beaten rivals after travelling third from the back along the inside. Specked late, Modern Tsar was stopping badly 200m out after enjoying an easy time in the lead.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (453)-JAFFE HANDICAP (Sec2) - Class 3 - 1650Metres

PACKING APPLAUSE began awkwardly and lost ground.

Shortly after the start, FULL GLORY was crowded for room between WILLIE INVICTUS and GOLDLAND DANCER which shifted out.

Also shortly after the start, TRENDY WIN, when being ridden along, shifted out and bumped FOODIE.

FUN KINGDOM, AGIAAL and STEP HIGH were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Passing the 1300 Metres, CHOICE TREASURE got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of TRENDY WIN.

Making the turn after the 600 Metres, PACKING APPLAUSE shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of FUN KINGDOM which became unbalanced.

Rounding the Home Turn, PACKING APPLAUSE raced in restricted room between FUN KINGDOM and AGIAAL which shifted out.

Passing the 150 Metres, WILLIE INVICTUS raced tight outside GOLDLAND DANCER which shifted out.

Near the 50 Metres, WILLIE INVICTUS was shifted in away from the heels of TRENDY WIN (T H So) which shifted in under pressure, resulting in WILLIE INVICTUS and GOLDLAND DANCER racing tight.

T H So was advised to exercise more care.

A veterinary inspection of AGIAAL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

CHOICE TREASURE and TRENDY WIN were sent for sampling.
