In a blanket finish of six, late-fancied Stimulation dived late travelling one-off worse than midfield to grab victory in the shadows of the post for a first win at his 16th start. He had been disappointing up to this point but seemed to relish the step up in distance. Plunged late Super Elegance kept plugging away after taking off three-deep from near the back 600m out to make it close on the wire. He can produce an odd good run now and then. Red Elysees was in the mix after a handy run. He's as honest as the day is long. Early favourite Tashidelek was swamped in the dying stages after advancing to the front 200m out chasing the leader Lucky Time one off the fence in third. He's back on track in his past two starts and can bob up at any moment. Only a stride away was Jolly Honour who made up good ground from behind midfield. He was able to back up a last-start win with a positive performance here. Clement Legend kept plugging away.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eight: (206) - GLASGOW HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1800Meters

JOLLY HONOUR began only fairly.

CLEMENT LEGEND shifted out at the start and bumped STIMULATION.

From wide barriers, COT CAMPBELL, SUPER ELEGANCE and XIANG BAI QI were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

PARTY TOGETHER had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight and again near the 150 Metres.

Near the 150 Metres, RED ELYSEES shifted out and bumped CLEMENT LEGEND.

Passing the 100 Metres, SUPER ELEGANCE raced tight between STIMULATION and JOLLY HONOUR.

N Callan (TASHIDELEK) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that over the concluding stages he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of PARTY TOGETHER, resulting in that horse being checked, clipping the heels of TASHIDELEK and stumbling.

N Callan was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 4 December 2019 and to expire on Monday, 9 December 2019 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays).

In assessing penalty, the Stewards took into account Jockey Callan's good race riding record.

In this incident, A Sanna, the rider of DEFINING MOMENT, which was racing outside PARTY TOGETHER, momentarily stopped riding as PARTY TOGETHER was checked.

After shifting in across PARTY TOGETHER, N Callan stopped riding and attempted to straighten TASHIDELEK which resulted in TASHIDELEK not being ridden out to the end of the race.

XIANG BAI QI was not able to obtain clear running until the concluding stages and accordingly was not able to be tested.

A veterinary inspection of COT CAMPBELL, TASHIDELEK and PARTY TOGETHER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

DEFINING MOMENT, STIMULATION and SUPER ELEGANCE were sent for sampling.
