Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (519) - AKEED MOFEED HANDICAP - Class 3 - 2000Meters
ABOVE and CHAMPION SUPREME were slow to begin.
Despite being ridden along for some distance in the early stages, GOD OF DRAGON was slow to muster speed and when left racing wide and without cover after the 1800 Metres was then ridden along to obtain a position outside the lead at the 1400 Metres.
AWE had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight and passing the 300 Metres was directed to the outside of ARROGANT to obtain clear running.
After the 300 Metres, CHAMPION SUPREME was shifted out away from the heels of GOD OF DRAGON to obtain clear running.
After the race, C Y Ho stated that after being shifted across behind runners from the outside barrier in the early stages, CALIFORNIA TEN became detached from the field in the middle stages.
He said CALIFORNIA TEN appeared to lose interest in the race as, despite him riding the horse aggressively for a considerable distance in an attempt to have it improve its position, the horse would not respond and then over the concluding stages finished off the race only fairly.
A veterinary inspection of CALIFORNIA TEN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

CHARITY FUN and PAKISTAN FRIEND were sent for sampling.

Firming favourite, Charity Fun finished nicely to take control 60m out after a patient ride one-off with cover behind midfield for a second win from four starts. It was a solid effort carrying top weight and can hold his own up in class off a lighter weight. Pakistan Friend kept on a clear second after getting an easy time in front. It was a good effort up in grade after back-to-back wins. Arrogant kept on one-paced after tracking the speed to hold down a placing. He can bob up now and then. Vincy came from towards the rear to fill the frame. He needed a stronger pace. Blastoise came up one-paced after a box-seat run. He had every chance and requires a bit of relief in the ratings. Awe made a mild bid without menacing following a rail run in midfield. He wasn't beaten far and requires a wet track to up his game. Champion Supreme made some ground from towards the rear after a slow start. He's still trying to find a bottom.
