While the full and half-season licences have already been announced for next season, there is always room for one more and a whisper on the grapevine is that we might see Frankie Dettori looking to ride here during the European winter.
Certainly racing fans and owners would welcome Dettori, if it happens, as he carries enormous star power despite his recent travails and would be a major attraction.
And probably an actual Hong Kong stint - which is something he has never done despite many walk on, walk off roles - might have more appeal for the jockey these days than in the past, and far more appeal than the chill of the European winter.
