Recap by phillip woo

Punted late, Excellence took control 180m out after a rails run in midfield. He was too good with a drop in grade but will have to lift on his past Class Four form. Dashing Fortune kept on well following a handy run along the fence to easily fill the Quinella spot. The old-timer's given a good sight in his past two starts over this trip and he might be able to get away with a weak race. Glory Star will be winning if he can remain in the grade after defying a torrid run without cover near the speed to land a placing. Double Point got going late to pick up a First-4 spot after travelling third from the rear. It was a decent run off a big weight after a last-start win but he might require a claimer's allowance when next stepping out. Specked late, Atomic Blast made ground late after travelling third from the rear in an improved effort with a switch to the Valley. Malayan Pearl yielded ground after settling one-out, one-back behind a solid pace. The 1,800m or further allows him to relax better. Favourite Faithful Boy failed to menace following a prominent run after placing last time out on the dirt. He's not genuine.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (279)-URANUS HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1650Metres

VIVACIOUS WINNER began awkwardly and lost ground.

From the outside barrier, MAGIC STAR was steadied and shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

FRESH AND FRESH raced wide and without cover until approaching the 800 Metres at which stage it was allowed to improve to race outside the lead.

Approaching the 800 Metres, FAITHFUL BOY got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of MALAYAN PEARL.

GLORY STAR was left racing wide and without cover from the 800 Metres.

Making the Home Turn, YOURTHEWONFORME, when racing in restricted room, became unbalanced when brushed by FRESH AND FRESH which lay in.

At the entrance to the Straight, ATOMIC BLAST was awkwardly placed near the heels of GLORY STAR.

K C Leung reported that when challenged in the lead initially by MALAYAN PEARL and later FRESH AND FRESH, YOURTHEWONFORME would not relax and consequently was not able to finish off the race.

A veterinary inspection of YOURTHEWONFORME immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

When questioned, O Doleuze stated that DUTCH WINDMILL obtained a nice trailing position in midfield and travelled well throughout the early and middle stages.

He said however after shifting his mount out from behind GLORY STAR in an endeavour to improve his position passing the 500 Metres, DUTCH WINDMILL immediately came under pressure, did not respond to his riding and proved disappointing.

He added he was unable to detect anything amiss with DUTCH WINDMILL on pulling up.

A veterinary inspection of DUTCH WINDMILL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection of FAITHFUL BOY immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

Before being allowed to race again, FAITHFUL BOY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

FAITHFUL BOY, EXCELLENCE and DASHING FORTUNE were sent for sampling.
