Recap by phillip woo

Punted late All Wongchoy put his head in front when it counted on the wire after stalking the leader from a wide gate for a maiden win at only his second start. Precious Sweetie was nipped in the last stride after hitting the front mid-straight following a box-seat run. He added to some good form late last season over this course and distance and should be winning shortly. Shamport stayed on well for third despite getting posted without cover better than midfield. He proved a win last month was not a fluke. Bullish Brother came up one-paced over the last 100m after dictating the run. It was a better effort second-up and his natural gate speed is always an asset over this course. Navas did have U W Brother fall into his lap on a couple of occasions after making his run behind midfield on the fence. He had an excuse and does require a faster pace. Specked late U W Brother kept up an even gallop racing near the inside in midfield. He's still learning.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (83) - NAKAYAMA HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

On arrival at the course, NAVAS, which sustained abrasions to the right hock and the base of its tail whilst being transported from Sha Tin, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed fit to race.

After being loaded, SUPER FUN became fractious and reared, resulting in its rider, L Hewitson, being momentarily dislodged.

Before being allowed to race again, SUPER FUN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.

BRILLIANT stood flat-footed as the start was effected and threw its head up, losing a considerable amount of ground.

Before being allowed to race again, BRILLIANT will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.

SHAMPORT lost its right hind plate shortly after the start.

Making the turn after the 1000 Metres, CAMFORD MAGIC, when racing greenly, shifted out of its own accord and was checked away from the heels of SHAMPORT.

Approaching the 800 Metres, KUNG FU TEA faltered in its action for no apparent reason, became unbalanced and lost ground.

SHAMPORT, which was racing at the hindquarters of KUNG FU TEA, was obliged to shift out abruptly to avoid that horse and remained racing wide and without cover thereafter.

As KUNG FU TEA lost ground, CAMFORD MAGIC, which was following, was hampered in consequence.

KUNG FU TEA then made the turn after the 600 Metres awkwardly.

The racing manners of KUNG FU TEA were considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, KUNG FU TEA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of KUNG FU TEA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Approaching the 500 Metres, NAVAS improved up onto the heels of U W BROTHER and was checked.

Approaching the Home Turn, SHAMPORT was taken wider by ISLAND WINNER which shifted out to improve around the heels of ALL WONGCHOY.

Approaching the 100 Metres, BULLISH BROTHER shifted out under pressure and raced tight with ALL WONGCHOY.

Over the concluding stages, ALL WONGCHOY shifted in under pressure, resulting in BULLISH BROTHER being taken in which caused NAVAS to be shifted in away from the heels of BULLISH BROTHER close to the finishing line.

A veterinary inspection of CAMFORD MAGIC immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

ALL WONGCHOY and PRECIOUS SWEETIE were sent for sampling.
