Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (696) - SPOONBILL HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
JADE FORTUNE shifted out at the start and bumped PARTY EVERYDAY which in turn shifted out, resulting in HANG'S DECISION being crowded for room inside SUPER BULLET and bumping the hindquarters of that horse, causing both HANG'S DECISION and SUPER BULLET to become unbalanced and lose ground.
When SUPER BULLET became unbalanced, it shifted out and made contact with RIGHTEOUS MATE which became unbalanced in its action and lost ground.
After this, despite being ridden along for a considerable distance, RIGHTEOUS MATE became detached from the field in the middle stages.
CHUNG WAH SPIRIT shifted out at the start and bumped GENERAL DINO which shifted out and inconvenienced KELMIMI WINS.
Approaching and passing the winning post on the first occasion, STARLIT KNIGHT and MEGATRON (H N Wong) raced tight due to MEGATRON shifting in.
H N Wong was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
KELMIMI WINS, which was racing inside STARLIT KNIGHT, was steadied away from the heels of that horse in consequence passing the winning post on the first occasion.
Throughout the race, SMILING CITY travelled wide and without cover.
After being ridden along for a considerable distance in the early stages from the outside barrier, POLYMER LUCK was left racing very wide passing the winning post on the first occasion and approaching the 1400 Metres was steadied to obtain cover, however, continued to race very wide and without cover A veterinary inspection of THIS ONE'S FOR YOU immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, THIS ONE'S FOR YOU will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of SMILING CITY and MEGATRON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
PARTY EVERYDAY and JADE FORTUNE were sent for sampling.

Early favourite Party Everyday out-duelled Jade Fortune over the final 200m for the win after a dream run on the fence. The win was overdue after placing in his past three on both surfaces and he has the tools to win another. Post-time favourite Jade Fortune ran on well from behind midfield to make it close on the wire. Starlit Knight gave a cheeky sight in front at massive odds. It was his best run to date on this surface. Righteous Mate left things much too late from the rear of the field but closed nicely down the outside to fill the frame. Chung Wah Spirit only plodded following a handy run one off the fence. He's struggling to recapture his best form. Double Take made some ground from beyond midfield at huge odds. It was a better effort with a switch to the dirt sporting first-time blinkers. Hang's Decision ran on without menacing from towards the rear. He's finding the line better in his past two of three following a downgrade.
