Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (389) - PROSPERITY HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters
On two occasions when parading behind the barriers, JADE PHOENIX got its tongue over the bit which required rectifying on both occasions.
SOARING TOWER was slow to begin.
EMBARKED began awkwardly and then was crowded for room between SCIENCE PATCH which was taken out by WAR EAGLE and LUCK STAR which shifted in.
MOONLUCK shifted in at the start and was very awkwardly placed close to the heels of COUNTRY BOY.
Then from the outside barriers, COUNTRY BOY and MOONLUCK were both shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
In the early stages, from a wide barrier, SOLAR PARTNER was steadied to obtain cover.
SCIENCE PATCH made the turn near the 900 Metres awkwardly and shifted out towards the heels of SOLAR PARTNER.
WAR EAGLE, which was following SCIENCE PATCH, was awkwardly placed behind that horse in consequence.
SCIENCE PATCH was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and when improving into tight running between CIRCUIT SPIRITANTO and JADE PHOENIX raced tight outside LUCKY MARYKNOLL.
SOARING TOWER was also held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight.
Approaching the 200 Metres, LUCKY MARYKNOLL was shifted to the outside of JADE PHOENIX.
Throughout the race, SMART FOLKS travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of SOARING TOWER, JADE PHOENIX and LUCKY MARYKNOLL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
COUNTRY BOY and SOLAR PARTNER were sent for sampling.

Country Boy closed well to deny Solar Partner 50m out after settling fifth last covering ground from a wide draw to continue his ultra-consistent form with a second win this term. Firming favourite Solar Partner just found one too smart after poking his nose in front near the 50m after a wide run with cover worse than midfield from a wide draw. He's a winner waiting to happen. Science Patch ran on well for a placing after copping interference 300m out following a one-off run behind midfield. He relished a rise in trip. Eight Trigrams was stopping 100m out after straightening nearly three lengths on top after finding the fence from a wide draw 900m out. It was another honest effort in his first run beyond 1,200m. Embarked came from last to earn his first cheque from seven starts. The move to blinkers had a positive effect. Natural Gold held his ground after a one-off run better than midfield. He's been naturally coming to hand in his three starts. Soaring Tower was short of room until the 200m after making his run second last following a slow start. He had an excuse.
