Recap by phillip woo

Beauty Mission hit the lead 200m out and kept on gamely to register his first Hong Kong win on his 26th local start. He put the writing on the wall when he was an eye-catching C&D third last month. Punted late, Amazing Boy finished nicely near the outside to make it close on the wire. He had performed well first up and appreciated the wet track on his second outing this season. Palace Pal flashed home late to finish a close third after Matthew Poon Ming-fai rode him patiently at the rear from gate nine. He is likely on or near a bottom and should score a victory soon. M Unicorn made his run two from the rear and ran on nicely to finish fourth. He carried 10 pounds more than his last-start success. Win Win Fighter finished the next best after Lyle Hewitson rode him patiently second last from barrier 11. He has run with merit three times this term and could bob up at any moment. To Infinity made a mild bid after travelling one off the fence in midfield. He looked like he needed the run. Snowalot weakened after racing prominently. He is proving tough to get right this season.
