Recap by phillip woo

Well-backed Fast Buck won going away 100m out settling effectively one-out, one-back after going forward three wide early on from gate 12 for a second win and first on this surface from 18 starts. It was a return to form after disappointing four times following a second in October. Favourite Diamond Flare ran on nicely to grab second after a patient ride fourth last following a tardy start. It was a good run after making all in two of three prior starts. Colourful Prince just lost second late after slipping three lengths clear upon straightening leading from gate two. He's an honest sprinter. Regency Glory just failed to place after a handy run one off the fence. He went okay following a last-start win. Daily Trophy ran on well to just miss the frame after a wide without cover trip from behind midfield. It was another pleasing run with a return to the dirt. Panda Legend made good ground late after a patient ride second last from gate 11. He's gone all right in his past two on this surface from three starts. Lean Master weakened after a pace-stalking run. He wasn't good enough in a richer Class Four test after filling the frame in three prior starts.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six : (320) - SHEK LEI HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

Horse No 1 EVERYONE'S VICTORY (E177) H Bentley Shortly after the start was checked when crowded between PANDA LEGEND and PATCH OF WATCH which was taken out by DAILY TROPHY which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider A Badel.

After the race, H Bentley reported that his mount failed to travel well after receiving interference in the early stages.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 2 MAGIC SUPREME (D144) E C W Wong After the race, Apprentice E C W Wong reported that his mount found it difficult to finish the race off due to the early stages being run inside of standard time.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 3 COLOURFUL PRINCE (E418) H Bowman Bumped at the start.

H Bowman was questioned regarding his riding out of COLOURFUL PRINCE over the concluding stages.

He stated that after riding his mount vigorously with the whip, when the winner FAST BUCK improved to his outside, he continued to apply the whip until the final two strides whereby he then continued to ride his mount with his right arm to the finish of the event.

When questioned if the degree of vigour he used over the final stride had decreased, H Bowman stated that whilst he did not apply the whip, he continued to encourage COLOURFUL PRINCE to the finish of the event.

After considering his explanations, the Stewards were satisfied that H Bowman had fulfilled his obligations under the Rules, however, he was advised he must ensure that he rides his mounts out using an unquestionable degree of vigour to the finish of every race where circumstances allow.

Horse No 4 DIAMOND FLARE (H224) Y L Chung Jumped only fairy and then shortly after the start was bumped by BRAVE WITNESS which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider.
