Difficult wind conditions prevailed on Sunday to muddy the waters of meaningful form assessment but there was no doubt about Let Me Go and Berlinski looking to be unlucky in each of their races.

Ridden back in the field again, Let Me Go was strung up between horses in the fourth race while the eventual winner, Dashing Fortune, was bowling along out in the clear.

Let Me Go was closing fast when the post arrived, and on face value looked to have improved on his first-up win last month at Sha Tin, and there is every reason to think the lightly-raced gelding has scope for more improvement yet.

Berlinski was another with nowhere to go when the serious work started in the ninth race, and he was forced to steady and come out around other horses to get into the clear before he finished his race strongly for third.

A son of sire sensation Fastnet Rock, Berlinski hasn't been tried beyond 1,400m yet but does give the impression he will get further yet.

The opening race at Sha Tin for three-year-olds consisted mostly of unraced horses and, while the winner Speedy Sandy left a good impression in victory, there were a couple to jot down for the future chasing him home.

Real Fit from the Tony Cruz stable looks to have a great, laid-back attitude which will take him a long way in racing here. He had enough speed to be in touch early then was left flat footed when the pace quickened before he started gathering the speed runners again and clawed his way into second.

The son of Charge Forward looks better suited in something longer and he should come on for his day out.

A little further back again was the Caspar Fownes-trained Family Interests, who caught the eye with a persevering finish after being outpaced for much of the race.

That was to be expected as his mother was a three-time black type winner over 2,000m in Australia and New Zealand and Family Interests himself is a half brother to a very durable and talented Sydney galloper of recent seasons called Rolling Pin, Group One-placed up to 1,600m.
