PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE
Invincible Shield narrowly beat Young Champion after a prominent run over this track and trip in January before almost exacting revenge when third to Sky Trust in December with a hard-charging short head second last start. He must have claims. Fast Network did win a Group Three over the straight 1,000m in October before placing in his past three starts behind superstar Ka Ying Rising over today's C&D. He has been successful carrying 135lb in the past and must be respected at this level. Sky Trust is on a new rating high but did scramble in to beat the fast-finishing Invincible Shield after leading 50m out from midfield last month for a third Sha Tin 1,2000m win and second on Class Two from seven starts this term. His light weight and gate four will certainly help his cause. Patch Of Theta backed up a near come-from-behind win at Group level over 1,400m in January with a Class One win carrying today's 135lb before failing after a difficult run in Group One. He has proven Sha Tin 1,200m form but will be set a task from gate 11.
TROUBLE IN RUNNING
FAST NETWORK (J358) when questioned rider stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position but his mount jumped only fairly and despite his efforts did not show sufficient pace in the early stages to hold a more forward position - Race 379.
PATCH OF THETA (H485) near the 800M lay in behind a runner and as a result was steadied to avoid that runner. When commencing to give ground near the 150M was eased to avoid another runner. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event - Race 462.
TOMODACHI KOKOROE (H303) shifted in at the start and was bumped - Race 396.
STORM RIDER (J027) making the Home Turn and in the early stages of the Home Straight raced tight and made contact with a runner on a number of occasions. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 412.
INVINCIBLE SHIELD (K168) between the 450M and the 400M had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted out. Rider reported that his mount settled further back than he had intended when not showing sufficient pace in the early stages to hold a more forward position - Race 440.
WUNDERBAR (H411) for some distance near the 200M made contact with a runner. After the 200M raced tight and then made contact with another runner. Rider could offer no excuse for the horse's disappointing performance. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 440.
INVINCIBLE SAGE (H301) lay in when placed under pressure in the Home Straight - Race 458.
PATCH OF STARS (J343) was examined by the vet on arrival at the start, and withdrawn by order of the Stewards on vet advice (lame right front leg) . Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 440.

PATCH OF STARS (J343) 14/02/2026 On arrival at the start was examined and found to be lame in its right front leg. Withdrawn from racing. (passed on 24/02/2026).
