PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE

Reeve's Muntjac responded well to get up 30m out from midfield for an upset win over this C&D latest following the addition of a nose band. He's holding his condition well and a repeat win from a good gate won't surprise. Wicker has shown life signs this term, including a speed-chasing fourth to Young Glory over the Valley 2,200m when last stepping out in late-October. He's drawn to get all favours and can figure in the finish. Golden Kid just out-finished rival Romantic Journey for a win 18-days back over the Valley 1,800m after placings in two of three other starts this term and has proven C&D form. He should map well and can make his presence felt despite carrying co-top weight. Virtus Star was badly held up early straight and got cleaned up 200m out in a luckless fourth to Golden Kid latest over the Valley 1,800m. He likely has a bottom in sight and will have Zac Purton to offset a wide gate.
