TROUBLE IN RUNNING

DAY DAY VICTORY (J423) shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped. Raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages. Shifted out near the 600M and bumped with a runner. Trainer advised that from a wide barrier he had requested the horse to be ridden in a conservative manner in the early stages - Race 367.

KINGDOM OF RICHES (K079) post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 367.

SKY CAP (K125) when questioned rider stated that his mount hung in throughout the race and when placed under pressure over the final 300M proved difficult to ride out, he then had to correct his mount on a number of occasions. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 374.

LUCKY SECRET (L073) bumped heavily at the start and became unbalanced - Race 315.

NOTTHESILLYONE (J383) rider stated that instructions were to lead the event. He said when his mount jumped only fairly it did not show sufficient pace to cross a runner and as a result he was obliged to hold a position outside of that runner. He added in the Home Straight his mount did not respond to his riding and, in his opinion, races better when able to dictate in the lead. Trainer confirmed the instructions issued and concurred with the views of rider that the horse is best suited when racing in front. Performance as a last start winner was considered to be disappointing. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 316.

FORERUNNER (G465) rider reported that the intention was to hold a midfield position but after his mount commenced well it was able to hold an on-pace position without being pressured to do so. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 348.

MONTA FRUTTA (H455) near the 600M was bumped and carried wider. Rider stated that from his wide barrier he was obliged to race very wide and without cover for the majority of the event and as a result was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 367.

GOOD CHAP (J499) jumped awkwardly, made contact with the right side of its starting gate and lost ground - Race 318.

JUICY DRAGON (K405) when being steadied to allow a runner to cross commenced to race keenly and as a result was awkwardly placed behind that runner for a short distance near the 750M. Raced wide and without cover from the 700M. Near the 700M was hampered when bumped. Approaching the 200M was disappointed for clear running. As a result was steadied and shifted in where it obtained clear running near the 150M - Race 367.

CONRAD THE GREAT (K217) jumped awkwardly - Race 369.
