TROUBLE IN RUNNING

PACKING PHOENIX (K442) when questioned rider stated that his mount travelled satisfactorily in the early stages outside the lead. He said from the 700M his mount came under pressure before giving ground in the Home Straight but he could offer no reason for its disappointing performance. Trainer stated that the horse had pleased him coming into the race but could offer no explanation for its performance. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Performance as a last start winner was considered to be disappointing. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 109.

VOYAGE BOSS (K321) raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Rider reported that the instructions were to hold a midfield position. He said when his mount commenced reasonably well and was caught wide in the early stages he elected to continue forward to avoid covering additional ground - Race 165.

FORTUNE SUPERNOVA (K287) began only fairly - Race 071.

JUBILANT STAR (K410) from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages - Race 198.

AQUAMAN (K523) jumped only fairly and then was bumped. Near the 450M made contact with a runner and became unbalanced - Race 217.

COOL BOY (L014) on jumping was bumped. Shifted in near the 350M and was bumped - Race 179.

MONTA FRUTTA (H455) after the event rider stated that the instructions were to hold an on-pace position. He added as a result when his mount jumped only fairly he was obliged to make use of it in the early stages to comply with the instructions, but when unable to obtain a position closer to the rail his mount raced wide and without cover before giving ground in the Home Straight. Trainer confirmed the instructions issued. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Finished tailed out and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 622.

WINNING DIAMOND (K216) over the final 350M was held up for clear running and could not be ridden out to the finish of the event - Race 161.

LUCKY MCQUEEN (K064) rider reported that his instructions were to hold an on-pace position. He said when his mount jumped only fairly and then raced greenly during the race it settled further back in the field than what had been intended - Race 145.

FLOW WATER FLOW (K562) bumped on jumping - Race 210.
